The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to personally identify you.

2. Data controller

Controller within the meaning of the GDPR:

Felix Wodlei

3. Data collection on this website

Who is responsible for data collection?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. Their contact details can be found in the section “Data controller”.

How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected when you provide it to us — for example through our contact form or by email. Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system, or time of access).

What do we use your data for?

Some data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data is used to respond to your contact inquiries.

4. Your rights

You have the right at any time to free information about the origin, recipients, and purpose of your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR). You also have the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR). If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).

You also have the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) — that is, you can receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format or have it transmitted to another controller.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for us is:

The State Commissioner for Data Protection

and the Right to Access Records of Brandenburg (LDA)

Stahnsdorfer Damm 77

14532 Kleinmachnow

5. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the address bar of your browser changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser.

6. Hosting (AWS)

This website is hosted on servers of Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU (Frankfurt region, eu-central-1). The personal data collected on this website is stored on these servers. This may include IP addresses, contact inquiries, meta- and communication data, and usage data.

The use of AWS is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in reliable provision of our website). A corresponding data processing agreement (DPA) with AWS has been concluded.

7. CDN and DNS (Cloudflare)

We use Cloudflare as a content delivery network (CDN) and DNS provider. Traffic between your browser and our server is routed through Cloudflare's infrastructure. Cloudflare may process technical data such as your IP address in order to efficiently route requests and protect the website against attacks.

Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States. Data transfer is based on standard contractual clauses (SCC) pursuant to Art. 46 (2) lit. c GDPR. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and performant delivery).

8. Cookies

Our website uses only technically necessary cookies. Cookies are small text files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your device. Cookies do no harm to your device.

We currently do not use any analytics, tracking, or marketing cookies. The legal basis for technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in a functioning website).

9. Contact form and email contact

When you contact us via the contact form or by email, your information from the form, including the contact details you provide there (name, email address, subject, message), is stored by us for the purpose of processing the request and in the event of follow-up questions.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (initiation/performance of a contract) or Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry). We use Amazon SES (AWS, Frankfurt region, eu-central-1) to send emails.

The data you provide in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.

10. Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address (shortened)

This data is not combined with other data sources. Storage is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of the website. Log data is stored for a maximum of 30 days.

11. Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy to ensure it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
